Export Potential and Competitiveness of Processed Food Products from India

The liberalization of trade and India's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) have brought about significant changes in agricultural food processing industry. This study aims evaluate export competitiveness processed products from India by analyzing their comparative advantage potential over a specified time period.
 utilizes secondary data sources such as Agricultural Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), (FAO), International Centre (ITC) for analysis. selection is based on major exported industries Gujarat. Analytical tools employed are compound annual growth rate (CAGR), revealed (RCA), nominal protection coefficient (NPC). These help assess rates, advantage, selected commodities with Provided ITC.
 highlights unrealized foods which more than 7.9 billion dollars 4.5 respectively. Among preparations HS code 210690 observed highest potential. analysis identifies largest was countries United States, Saudi Arabia, China, UAE many products. It also performance last 10 years, notable rates miscellaneous bread, pastry, other baked foods. concludes highlighting Potential shows presence competitive USA, UAE, UK, Australia, Arabia. opportunities manufacturers expand exports, capitalize untapped market potential, enhance business growth.
